Rev. Ashley McGuire and her family have made the move from Alexandria where she served as Senior Pastor. She begins her new appointment at FUMC Minden; her first Sunday in the pulpit was July 4, 2021.
From the Pulpit & Pew: "A graduate of Duke University in 2003 with a degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry, Rev. McGuire now considers herself a pastor, a wife, a mother, a musician, a scholar, a friend and a lover of sunsets. ...
In 2005, she answered the call to ministry, beginning her first appointment in Bethel UMC where she spent her seminary years in 2006.
In 2009, she graduated Perkins School of Theology at SMU and spent the next five years serving as Associate Pastor at FUMC Bossier, the church she attended as a child.
'I moved to St. Francisville UMC to serve as their pastor in 2014, and then after two wonderful years was moved to FUMC Alexandria in 2016.'"
Let us join in giving the McGuire family a warm and grace-filled welcome as we walk together in God's service.
