Traditional Worship at FUMC Minden meets in our sanctuary at 10:30 on Sunday mornings. Complete with sacred music from our United Methodist hymnal, prayers of the people, a proclamation of what we believe, an inspiring chancel choir and an engaging-biblical sermon our traditional worship service invited individuals to a communal worship experience.
The sanctuary at FUMC Minden was built in 1988 in a traditional style. Stained glass windows illuminate the inside of our worship space as Christ illuminates our hearts as we worship Almighty God. The altar is adorned with a cross at the center, signifying the centrality of Christ in our church. Candles remind worshipers of the power of the Holy Spirit in the midst of worship, and a chalice and offering plates remind worshipers of the gift of being filled with God’s presence so that we might offer our lives as holy and living sacrifices.
